15 Year Anniversary Fiddle Jam at Bel Canto Strings

I am excited to be celebrating 15 years at Bel Canto! I hope this Spring Fiddle Jam will be an opportunity for many of our alumni and friends to dust off their instrument and join the band. Even if you don't want to play, come by to say hello and cheer on the next generation of community music-makers!
Every one of our Bel Canto musicians has left an imprint on my life and contributed to the lives of their band-mates. Together we have challenged and supported each other; struggled through tough passages, laughed, and chatted in rehearsals; cheered and inspired one another through performance; and made beautiful music. Thanks for being a part of it all.
This event will begin with 4 prepared repertoire selections by our current ensembles and a 2-part faculty performance, and culminate in 7 fiddle songs that everyone is invited to join us in playing! We will loop 2-3 verses of each number, including marked repeats on each verse, with accompaniment on piano, drums, and guitar, and improvised harmony by our ensemble musicians and faculty.
Admission and participation is FREE.
Following the fiddle jam, we will be celebrating with a reception serving free refreshments. I hope you'll stay to visit with me and one another. Invite your friends!
