Eligibility and Programs

Musicians of all ages are invited to join us! Instrument rental is provided for FREE with any Orchestra or Band enrollment. Instrument rentals are provided at a low monthly cost to private students registered for weekly lessons: $15/violin & $25/cello

Private Lessons (ages 4-adult)

1 on 1 lessons are available on guitar, violin, viola, cello and bass. Private lessons can help you get started on a new instrument, catch up after an absence, prepare for a special event (festival, competition, talent show, highschool exam), or simply help you learn a new piece of your choice! Private lessons are open to students of all ages and experience levels, beginner to advanced.

Beginner Orchestra (ages 7-10)

For new students in their 1st or 2nd year on the violin. Students do not need any prior music experience to join this ensemble. Students will learn how care for their violin, how to hold and play their instrument, how to read sheet music, and play simple songs together in a group setting. Your choice of Tues 6-7 or Wed 5:15-6:15 or both! (no additional fees for attending 2x weekly)

Junior Orchestra (ages 8-13)
For those musicians with 1-4 years of experience, this ensemble helps young students to improve their music reading while playing in an orchestra setting. Members should be able to recognize and play all notes in the 1st position and understand how to play with different dynamics and slurred bowings. Classes Thursdays 6:00-7:15 for violinists. Cellists meet Wednesdays 6:15-7:15, plus Orchestra the first Thurs of every month and the last Thurs before a concert.


Senior Orchestra (ages 11-16)

Intended for those with at least 4 years of experience, this intermediate ensemble involves students in grades 6-10. Students in this ensemble should have a good understanding of rhythm, vibrato and 3rd position. Classes held Thurs 7:30-8:45 for violinists. Cellists meet Wed 6:15-7:15 plus Orchestra the first Thurs of every month and the last Thurs before a concert.


Chamber Strings

This ensemble of highschool students will work on and perform challenging repertoire at a high standard in festivals and at community events, as well as developing leadership skills through private lessons and/or peer mentoring. Classes held Tuesdays 7:15-9:00pm with mandatory attendance required each week.

Beginner Guitar Band (ages 7-11)
Beginning guitarists aged 6-10 will learn the notes in the first position, and to play songs in a group setting. Students will learn how to play simple chords and how to read sheet music and tablature. Classes held Mondays 5:30-6:30pm.

Junior Guitar Band (ages 9-13)
Beginning guitarists aged 10-13 and continuing guitarists aged 9+ will learn the basics as above, as well as some more complicated melodies and chords. Harmonies will be explored with the ensemble. Mondays 6:30-7:30pm.

Senior Guitar Band (ages 10-16)
Continuing guitarists will add more chords to their repertoire and learn and perform longer, more complicated songs. Mondays 7:30-8:30pm.

Adult Strings (ages 18-80)

This ensemble is intended for amateur adult musicians. Members of this group range from those with only a few months' experience to those who have been playing for a few years, and gives adults the social experience of learning and performing with other adults. All welcome! Classes held Wednesdays 7:30-9pm.
